BharataNatyam Course

Thanks for showing your interest in learning BharataNatyam. For learning BharataNatyam and be able to sit in a comfortable aramandi(half seat), I would request that kids only 6 years and older enroll. We teach Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam. Here is the below course guide which we offer for Kids and Adults. 

Beginner course(Prarambhik):  

• Namaskaram 

• Vyayaam (exercises corresponding to Adavus )

• Bhedas - Greeva, Shiro, Mandala 

• Different styles/Banis knowledge in BharataNatyam 

• Dance on Shlokas

• Asamyukta hasta mudras 

Advanced Beginner(Praveshika- prathama and purna ) : 

•   Alarippu 

• Pushpanjali

• Kautuvam 

• Teermanam, Sthaanaka, Viniyoga shlokas 

• Samyukta hasta mudras 

Intermediate course(Madhyama): 

• Jathiswaram -1 

• Jathiswaram - 2

• Krishna Padam 

• Mallari 

Advanced course ( Visharad): 

• Padams 

• Thillana 

• Maragata Mani

• Tarangam

• Kutrala Kuravanji 

Exams will be conducted twice a year in November and April/May. Student will be able to appear once for an exam every year and will be trained both in theory and practical.

Student will be able to perform Arrangetram/ Rangapravesh only after finishing the advanced course.

Batches every year begins in Sep and registration for the same will begin in June
